Name all the ways to to lighten a cantilevered I beam with a point load on the end, while minimizing weight and deflection

Name all the ways to to lighten a cantilevered I beam with a point load on the end. Minimize the mass of the I beam while keeping the deflection as low as possible.

Maybe some material with a good youngs modulus but with lighter density.
Other ways would be pocketing the vertical part of the i beam, tapering the i beam according to your moment/shear diagram as well.

  1. Vary the cross section over the length to minimize weight at the end
  2. Select a martial with a between-stiffness-to-weight ratio
  3. Optimize the cross section to have more material further away from the neutral axis
  4. Stack different materials up to make the beam. Have lighter material at the center and stiffer material further away from the neutral axis.
  5. Change the geometry by minimizing the length.
